The very first plane ride we took lulled Amanda and I into a sense of ease and security. Both babies napped for almost the whole flight and when they woke up they happily played.
Then we got on our next flight, a 4 hour one from Atlanta to Phoenix.
Um. Yikes.
We very nearly just stayed in Arizona rather than risk flying with the babies back home, but after a week of relaxation we managed to forget the plane ride and the babies who wouldn't eat or sleep or do anything but fuss and whine for four. whole. hours.
So we flew home. And it was slightly better. (But that first flight was still the best.)
Although T still refused to sleep, except for right before we had to board our 2nd flight. Obviously she needed her bee to cover her face. Good thing Aunt Amanda was around to figure it out for me.
Luckily T just figured out how to gum down cheerios so those were a lifesaver for me. T is always happy when you give her a cheerio.
And now that we have been home a week I think everyone (read: the baby) is finally back on East Coast time and we are all much happier for it.
I'm thinking it'll be a while before we travel again.

One Day
So this happened.
That would be an entire tupperware container of peas that I failed to put the correct distance away from T while I was feeding them to her.
Although I guess if my mother were making me eat mushy canned peas I would throw them all over the table too.

The babies
This picture sums up their personalities rather nicely.
It's very hard to get T to laugh and very easy to get B to laugh.
But we are all having a lovely time here in Arizona!
I'm very busy doing nothing so I probably won't post until we get back.
And then you will be inundated with more pictures of T and B. Yay!

Time Lapse
T has managed to figure out how to move basically anywhere she wants except forwards - she still can't crawl.
Mostly what she does is scoot backwards or sideways.
Seth and I took a time lapse video of her playing one afternoon.
If you're curious what she does during the day while I am puttering around, it's mostly this.
Enjoy.

Plane Trip
The three of us are flying out to Arizona next week to see my mom, and my sister and her 5.5 month old are coming too.
I am nervous.
Other trips I've taken with T have been in the car, which means that I can stuff absolutely everything I think I might possibly need for her in with us. I can't do that on an airplane trip.
So I am looking for suggestions. Anyone flown with an 8 month old? What do I do? What do I bring?
And most importantly - will we survive the plane trip?

In February
Here's what we've been up to recently:
(and by we, I mean T)
Eating the crib.
But not any food.
Hanging with Granddad.
Getting into all of mom and dad's papers from the coffee table.
Reading books.
And being a happy baby.
Most of the time.
